CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MEMBERS EMPLOYED AT SOUTH WINDSOR REHAB AND NURSING CENTER
  Members employed at South Windsor Rehab and Nursing Center in South Windsor, CT went on strike on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 and this strike was successfully resolved on Wednesday, October 7, 2009.

The Union successfully accomplished the maintenance of health benefits at no additional cost to the employees.  The company with drew their subcontracting  proposal for housekeeping and laundry and we were able to maintain pension language with the company making contributions with the company making contributions on eligible members in the last two years of the contract.

We wish to thank all who supported and assisted us in this strike action and above all we want to congratulate our members for their solidarity on the picket line which made this successful resolution possible.
